The Lafayette Optimist Club's annual Christmas Tree Sale is moving! Because of the huge popularity of tailgating in the Cajun Field parking lot, the club has decided to move the sale to 4607 Johnston Street, the parking lot in front of Crystal Cottage and the The District.

Sales will begin on Saturday, November 23, 2013 and hours for this holiday season will be seven days a week from 10:00 a.m.– 9:00 p.m. until December 23, 2013.

This year they'll be offering two types of trees: Fraser Fir and Nordman in sizes from 2 feet to 12 feet tall, along with freshly made wreaths and garland.

All proceeds from this and other Optimist fundraisers go back to the youth of Acadiana.  By purchasing your Christmas Tree from the Lafayette Optimist Club Tree Lot you are not only supporting the youth of Acadiana, but also many organizations and events the club offers including the Louisiana Leukemia Foundation, Tri-Star Sports, sponsorship of various youth groups, the Optimist Award (for elementary/middle school students who portray optimism at their age level,) and two college scholarships for high school seniors. Please support the youth of Acadiana by purchasing your Christmas Tree from the Lafayette Optimist Club!
