Lafayette Convenience Store Robbed Monday Night

A convenience store robber is on the loose after Lafayette Police say he stole an undisclosed amount of money and cigarettes from the business located on 1303 North University Avenue.

LPD Spokesman Corporal Paul Mouton says it happened Monday night around 10:00 p.m. when the suspect went inside the store and made his demands while allegedly wearing a mask and holding a pistol when he made his demands.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing a blue sweatshirt with black and red shorts.
