Lafayette Chase Bank On Pinhook Street Robbed

Lafayette Police are currently investigating a bank robbery at Chase Bank in the 800 block of Pinhook Street around 10:30 this morning.

Lafayette Police Corporal Paul Mouton tells KPEL a black male wearing a winter-weather type mask went into the bank and demanded money.

The suspect did not produce a weapon, but was able to make off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as being a black male, about 5’6″, thin build wearing jeans and tennis shoes.

Police are asking anyone with information about the suspect or the robbery to call Lafayette Police or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
