A 7-year-old boy from Lafayette bought police and first responders lunch yesterday, on September 11th. He raised money at his lemonade stand throughout the year to pay for their lunch.

Oliver Perry has a love for police and firefighters that goes unmatched. His parents say that when he learned about 9/11 he wanted to do something special for all of those who risk their lives to help strangers.

That's when he came up with the idea to buy first responders lunch for September 11th. The young boy paid for the officer's lunch at Agave, but the restaurant gave Oliver his money back. The restaurant gave him more than $700 to go towards his college saving account.
