Acadiana Mall presented a FREE Back to School Fashion Show this Saturday, August 8, 2015 from 1 - 3 PM. This one's extra special, though, because the models were children from Dreams Come True, an organization that grants dreams for children with life-threatening illnesses.

Koryn Hawthorne from NBC's The Voice was the host.  She met with fans before the show, signing autographs for the huge line of fans who waited to see her.  The show started promptly at 1PM and included one young model from Dreams Come True who insisted to strut down the runway without a shirt to show off the scar on his stomach.

Lafayette Coca-Cola handed out samples and coupons for free product and UL student-athletes showed off the Ragin Cajun pride.  Special thanks to sponsors LANtec of Louisiana and Giles Automotive.

Princesses and heroes were also a part of the show and were a huge hit with the young people in attendance.

Hawthorne, a native of Abbeville, La., has signed a record contract and a new album is in the works.  A beautiful young lady with amazing talent.  Well spoken, talented and a super role-model for young people around the world.
