We've all heard the old saying. Most of us have spoken it. "Karma's a b&%$h." It looks like she's caught up with Martin Shkreli. He sparked outrage earlier this year when he hiked the price of Daraprim, an important medication for sufferers of AIDS & cancer, from $13.50 a pill to $750.00. He displayed unrepentant hubris in a subsequent TV interview. Shkreli has been arrested on securities fraud, according to bloomberg.com. The former hedge fund manager allegedly plundered the MSMB Capital Managent fund. Shkreli is alleged to have set up fraudulent consulting deals, and illegally used stock from Retrophin to cover his losses. He was removed as CEO of Retrophin, and sued by its board of directors. He's further accused of bilking investors, and using their money to cover personal expenses. Pardon me if I don't seem to be objective about this. It couldn't happen to a nicer guy!
