Louisiana Cookin' magazine has honored Justin Girouard of The French Press in Lafayette as one of Louisiana's most innovative and captivating chefs. He's been selected as one of their 'Chefs to Watch for 2013.' Every year the magazine and the honored chefs host an event in partnership with Café Reconcile in New Orleans. Since they began in 2001, this event has raised over $100,000 to help inner-city youths get the training they need to follow their culinary dreams. This year's celebration will take place at Cafe Reconcile on October 21 and will feature each chef's specialty, accompanied by fine wines, craft beer from NOLA Brewing, signature cocktails, and music by the Joe Simon Jazz Trio.
