Justin Bieber is rumored to be a steadfast, bible-thumping republican, but the pop star may have put those assumptions to rest with some new video footage.

The two-minute-long clip has been buzzing around the internet, and for good reason. In it, the 24-year-old is exiting a church service and talking to fans. Many ask how the service was, but one particular fan caught the singer's attention.

“Isn’t your church, like, really inclusive?” the fan asks, referring to Hillsong Church. Bieber confirms that it is, and the fan opens up to him about recently coming out as queer and the trouble they've had finding a church that is LGBTQ+ friendly. “I’ve been trying to find a place that’s inclusive of everybody, because I came out as queer, like, not long ago, so I’m trying to find a nice place. ‘Cause no one is nice. Everyone is so homophobic,” they confess.

“Yeah, that breaks my heart for you. I’m so sorry. That’s not OK.” Bieber responds, adding, “If you ever want to come to any of the services, any of them would love to have you. We’d love to have you in there, you’re more than welcome to come any time.”

The video ends with Bieber asking the fan for a hug. Cue the waterworks.
