Junior Achievement Honors Business Hall of Fame Inductees

Junior Achievement of Acadiana's 20th Annual Business Hall of Fame recognizes and celebrates  the accomplishments of individuals who have significantly impacted our local economy and community.

Laureates are recognized for lifetime achievement, and business awards are presented to distinguished individuals for the prior year's accomplishments.

One of the laureates this year is Townsquare Media's very own GM, Mike Grimsley! Congratulations to Mike and all of the 2016 honorees.

The 2016 Junior Achievement Honorees are:

Laureates: Mike Grimsley, Townsquare Media; Dr. David H. Fisher Sr. and his late wife Mrs. Shirley Rhodes Fisher, Fisher’s Early Childhood Development; and Mr. John Dan Gielen, Shop-Rite, Tobacco Plus and Church Point Wholesale.

Business Person of the Year: Leonard Louviere, Zea Rotisserie & Grill

Rising Young Business Leader: Elizabeth “EB” Brooks, Lafayette Central Park

The Richard E. Baudouin Jr. Award: Jason El Koubi, One Acadiana

Small Business of the Year: Al’s Pest Control (Allen Celestine)

Large Business of the Year: Service Chevrolet (Jesse Luquette Jr.)

Start-Up Business of the Year: Social Entertainment (BJ Crist & Gustavo Rezende)

University of Louisiana at Lafayette B.I. Moody, III – College of Business Award: Florence Ziegler (Stone Energy)

Honorees from the last 20 years will be recognized during the 20th annual celebration. This year's Hall of Fame ceremony is set for Tuesday, May 3, from 6:30 PM - 9 PM at the Atchafalya Ballroom at the UL Lafayette Student Union.
