Jesus Spotted On Ambassador Caffery

I was exiting the parking lot of the Wal*Mart on Ambassador a few weeks ago when I came across the sign below:

If you can't tell, it's a large cardboard cutout of Jesus. He's smoking a cigarette (who knew?) and holding a sign that reads "Why lie need more wine." At his feet are a number of empty water bottles.  (click here for a larger image)

I did a little research to try and figure out what this might mean. The only thing I could find is that sometimes, homeless people will hold signs that read "Why lie? Need a beer" or something similar.

What, if anything, that has to do with Jesus, wine, and water bottles, I don't know. The obvious connection with the wine/water bottles would be when Jesus turned water into wine at the wedding in Cana...but what does that have to do with the overall message here?
