During Jennifer Lopez's most recent appearance (Jan. 13) on 'The Tonight Show,' host Jay Leno recalled the first time that J. Lo graced the couch.

Lopez made her Leno late night debut 16 years ago while promoting her role as late singer Selena -- and with much darker hair. The host gushed that Lopez, now 44 and a singer/actress/'American Idol' judge/fashion designer quadruple threat, still looks the same.

Actually, we disagree. She didn't look the same. She was even hotter now than she was back then, wearing a revealing and infinitely sexy black leather dress by Ermano Scervino. As Lopez gets older, she goes all Benjamin Button on us and gets more gorgeous.

The singer, who is gearing up for Season 13 of 'Idol,' also shared a 45-second preview of her new single 'Same Girl' and its Bronx-filmed video. She takes the subway, wears a Yankees cap and laments those who think she has forgotten her roots. She hasn't; she brought her booty back to Da Bronx and is still Jenny from the same block.

Her recent hit singles have been Latin dance jams, assisted by Pitbull. This time out, Lopez is embracing her urban, hip-hop side in a song she co-penned with Chris Brown.

Based on this snippet, we're feeling it and we're liking where the diva is going.
