‘jeep jaunt’ Takes New Route
For the 8th Annual 'jeep jaunt', the route is very similar to past years' route, with a slight change near the end....
This year, the route will take us through beautiful downtown Charenton! Due to issues with having over 350 Jeeps blocking the entrance(s) to the Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel, we have changed our route to ensure the safety and convenience of Cypress Bayou employees and other patrons.
Our route will take us from Celebrity Theatres in Broussard to Charenton via Hwy 182, Nelson Canal Bridge Road, Highway 87, Charenton Bridge, Chitimacha Trail, and West Martin L. King Jr. Road.
Special thanks to the following departments for their assistance in keeping us safe and on track: Chitimacha Police Department, Iberia Parish Sheriff's Department, Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Department, Broussard Police Department, Abbeville Police Department, Vermilion Parish Sheriff's Department, St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Department, and Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel's Security Department.
