There was no doubt Ragin' Cajuns Wide Receiver Jamal Robinson would land with an NFL team, the only questions were when, and with who?

Robinson's name didn't get called in the NFL Draft, but his phone must have blown up as soon as it ended. After waiting all day to find out his future, Robinson decided to sign with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted rookie free agent.

The Jags are a pass-happy offense with Blake Bortles playing quarterback, which means Jamal signed up to be part of an air raid. Nine of the eleven receivers on the Jags roster are 6'0" or above, so Robinson fits their mold of big, versatile pass catchers. There's a lot of talent above him on the depth chart, so his journey just began if he wants to make the 53-man roster. Get to work, Mal.

Robinson's injuries created a red flag on his draft profile, but when healthy, Robinson proved he had the size and ability to be a dominant wideout. His ability to come down with contested balls is a trait coaches look for at the professional level, and his Pro Day performance was impressive. His 4.4 40-yard dash time surprised scouts, and his 23 bench reps were more than any receiver invited to the NFL combine registered.

Strength, speed and hands. If his health cooperates, and he learns to run better routes, the Jags will find a place for him on the field. When you make plays like THIS, teams will find a way to get you the ball...

Robinson was one of the best receivers Cajun fans ever saw (20 career TD's), and now he's taking his talents to Jacksonville. The Jags aren't the laughing stock they used to be, thanks to some smart draft picks the last few years. Can Jamal develop into another one of those building blocks?

At least he doesn't have to go freeze his butt off up north. Enjoy the beach, Jamal. You earned it.
