It’s National Flag Week

This Thursday, June 14th is Flag Day, as mandated by Congress in 1949. Last year, President Obama extended the celebration to include the entire week.  The 2nd Continental Congress adopted the Stars And Stripes on June 14th, 1777. There are very specific guidelines about how to display and salute the Star Spangled Banner, as well as how to properly dispose of a worn-out one.
