To someone not native to Louisiana, just about anywhere in the state would be a unique place to spend the night.

I'm sure we all have opinions on what places in Louisiana would be the 'most unique' to spend a night in that wouldn't make any of the lists you usually find on the Internet. I've never stayed at The Twelve Oaks Bed & Breakfast in Houma, but the folks at the Weather Channel consider it to be the most unique place to spend a night in all of Louisiana. Twelve Oaks is a fully - functioning sugar plantation with beautiful, mossy oak trees.

I personally think the most unique place to spend the night in Louisiana would be one of its most haunted houses, like The Myrtles in St. Francisville, but maybe that's not the kind of 'unique' they're talking about.
