Does it drive you crazy when stores & radio stations start playing Christmas music in early November? You're not alone. A clinical psychologist says exposure to Christmas music too early can be psychologically harmful. Sky News reports, Linda Blair says being bombarded by Christmas music increases people's stress by reminding them of gifts they need to buy, and holiday preparations that need to be made. She adds,  “Christmas music is likely to irritate people if it’s played too loudly and too early.” The music format here at 99.9 KTDY is referred to as "Adult Contemporary" (A/C for short) in the jargon of our industry. Many "A/C" radio stations flip to an All Christmas format in early November. We're not going to do that. We feel our job is to make your life less stressful, rather than "pour gasoline on the fire." We'll start sprinkling in Christmas classics on "Black Friday." 99.9 KTDY will be "all Christmas" on Dec. 24th & 25th.
