On Saturday, friends and families took part in the Inaugural Freedom Ride Jeep and Motorcycle Run,  put on by the Acadiana Patriots in conjunction with the Constitution Celebration , held at Comeaux Recreation Center/Beaullieu Park in Lafayette.  The Freedom Ride was a 60-mile trek through a beautiful part of Acadiana, with stops for refreshments and prizes.

The day started with an incredible view:

Catfish boulettes and boudin, door prizes and a nice cool beverage were waiting there for us.  After a 30-minute rest, we hit the road again, driving through Poche Bridge, over to Lajaunie Road, and then on to Gloria Switch, arriving moments later at our lunch destination, Prejeans!
