If you are looking for a job here in the state, IBM has announced they will hold a job fair in Lafayette on Saturday, January 19 at South Louisiana Community College.

According to IBM, they have help the state of Louisiana to keep up with software, IT and digital media, and they are partnering to help with the continued success on college campuses to expand programs in STEM education and IT.

The career fair will be looking to find professionals who are interested in filling positions at their Client Innovation Center in Baton Rouge.

This event is being put on in partnership with the Louisiana Economic Development Department's LED FastStart program to get people back to work.

LED Fast Start Executive Director Paul Helton says,

"IBM is one of the most well-respected companies in the industry, and its presence in Baton Rouge demonstrates confidence in the Louisiana workforce. Working with Louisiana's higher education community, LED is committed to providing companies like IBM with a world-class workforce. We are confident that Lafayette can support the IBM team with skilled professionals for the leading IT opportunities of the future."

The event will be held in SLCC's Devalcourt Building which, and the address is 320 Devalcourt St.

The job fair will start at 9 o'clock that Saturday morning, and it will end at 2 o'clock in the afternoon.

There are 75 jobs that IBM is trying to fill.
