I Don’t Fish Enough (OPINION)
I traveled with family to Cocodrie over the weekend, and came to this realization: I don't fish enough.
We caught several fish, from redfish and speckled trout to sting rays and catfish. My sis-n-law caught a fish that I couldn't identify.
She even caught two at the same time!
But, it's not necessarily about the fishing, though: it about much more than that. It's about a change of scenery. It's about not being in front of a computer. It's about being with family. It's about being on the open water. It's about getting kissed by the sun.
It's about watching the pelicans fly over the water, wingtips barely skimming the surface as they sail along. It's about watching the dolphins feeding near the shoreline. It's about watching the sunset.
It's about getting to meet someone's dog.
You can learn much about yourself and your world, just by getting out there and catching a few fish.
