DOTD announces lane closure on I-10 West for supplemental clean-up efforts

HENDERSON, La. -- The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced today the outside lane of Interstate 10 will be closed in the westbound direction between Exit 115 (Henderson/Cecilia) to just before the elevated section of the Atchafalaya Basin levee. This closure will take place on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 between 8 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. the next day.

This lane closure is necessary to allow for supplemental clean-up efforts to take place on I-10 West as a result of a multi-vehicle incident, which occurred last week. The Louisiana State Police will be present to assist with the lane closure.

This closure has no vehicle restrictions. Emergency vehicles will have access to the area.  No detour is necessary for this work.

Louisiana DOTD regrets any inconvenience this necessary work may cause and appreciates your patience.
