I-10 and I-49 Cleaning Causes Lane Closures in Acadia, Lafayette and St. Landry

Trying to get somewhere via I-10 or I-49 next week? Heads up! They're cleaning it. Really.

I-10 Eastbound & Westbound in Acadia Parish from mile post 95 to mile post 72 will be reduced to one lane for bridge cleaning beginning Monday, August 22, 2011, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily.  No detour will be set up but an alternate route will be La. 93, US 90 & La 26.  All equipment will be removed from the road should an oversized load need to pass.

I-49 northbound & southbound in Lafayette & St Landry Parishes from I-10 to mile post 20 will be reduced to one lane for bridge cleaning will begin on Tuesday, August 23, 2011, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily.  No detour will be set up but an alternate route will be I-49 Service Roads.  All equipment will be removed from the road should an oversized load need to pass.
