From the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development's official press release:

DOTD and CRT announces temporary closure of I-10 Atchafalaya Welcome Center

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) along with the Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism announced today that the I-10 Atchafalaya Welcome Center is closed, effective immediately, after a recent power outage left the facility inoperable.

The public will be able to access the parking areas during the closure, but will not be able to access the welcome center and restrooms as crews work to restore water service to the building.

Message boards have been activated along I-10 to notify drivers of the closure.
