One of the luxuries we take for granted as people with homes and other comforts is the convenience of personal grooming. We can keep ourselves clean and looking and feeling fresh, healthy and confident without much effort. Homeless people don't have those same luxuries.

BBR Creative's Second Annual Hygiene for Humanity Donation Drive ends this Friday. The drive helps the homeless in our community by collecting toiletries for the Stella Maris Center, a program of Catholic Services of Acadiana that offers laundry and shower facilities to area homeless.

The drive ends Friday, and BBR is hoping to double its donations from last year. Here are some of the requested items:

Toothbrushes/Toothpaste
Travel-Sized Soaps, Shampoos, Conditioners, Gels, etc. (eg. Hotel Toiletries)
Deodorant
Disposable Razors/Shaving Cream
Lotion
Feminine Hygiene Products
Bug Spray
Sunscreen
Chapstick
NEW Socks, Men’s Underwear/Boxers and Plain White Undershirts
Reusable Water Bottles (With Clips if Possible)
Powdered Laundry Detergent
Liquid Bleach
Liquid Body Wash
Shampoo (Large Bottles)
Paper Towels
NEW Towels and Washcloths

BBR also takes monetary donations. Checks should be made out to Catholic Services of Acadiana and include 'Stella Maris Center' in the memo.
