Winds as of 7am in Lafayette are steady at 23 mph, with gusts around 35; in St. Mary Parish, Cleco reports over 6,300 customers without power, and winds in St. Mary Parish are being reported above 30 mph.  Winds increase as you go towards New Orleans (50+ mph) and south from New Orleans into the Buras area, including Houma, with gusts there up to 65 mph.

Areas in Acadiana that have issued curfews:

Abbeville: Curfew beginning at 8pm on tonight.

Delcambre: Curfew beginning at 10pm on tonight.

Erath: Curfew from 10pm tonight to 6am Thursday

Lafayette: Not under a curfew, though residents are asked not to travel except if necessary.

Some streets closed in the Baton Rouge area already, due to trees and powerlines being down; LaPlace has shut down their water supply due to infiltration of flood waters; the Berwick Civic Center is to open at 8am as a shelter.
