Conditions in Acadiana are expected to deteriorate through the afternoon, with the strongest winds and heaviest rains after dark tonight.

Lafayette, St. Mary, Lafayette Diocese, Westminster Christian, St. Martin, St. Bernard (Breaux Bridge) and Lafayette Christian Academy have announced school closures for Thursday as well.

Near LaPlace, Louisiana State Police have shut down a portion of I-10 due to high water.
