Louisiana has long been a hotbed of musical talent. That's evidenced by this year's class of  Grammy nominees. Rising star & Breaux Bridge native, Hunter Hayes received a nomination for best country solo performance for his chart topping "I Want Crazy."
Terrance Simien is a previous Grammy winner. His "Dockside Sessions" is up for best regional roots music album. Zachary Richard's "Le Fou" is nominated for the same award.
New Orleans legend Allen Toussaint's "Songbook" recieved a nomination for best Americana album. "Shrimp Dressed Po-boy" is nominated for best regional roots song. Toussaint is a member of The Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame.
Tim McGraw received a best country album nomination for "Same Trailer Different Park" is nominated for best country album. The Associated Press reports the list of Nominees from Louisiana also includes Terence Blanchard, Andrew Duhon, and Bishop Paul Morton Sr. The Grammys will air January 26th, on CBS.
