How to Nominate Someone for the Women of Excellence Awards
The 20th Annual Women of Excellence Awards, presented by the Lafayette Commission on the Needs of Women, is to honor women who have accomplished the goal of improving the opportunities and lives of women and their families and therefore had a positive impact on our community. Nominations are encouraged from any individual within the eight-parishes of Acadiana. Honorees will be recognized during the Women of Excellence Awards Ceremony on Friday, October 3, 2014. Nominations must be received by Thursday, July 31, 2014 by 5 PM. For additional information on the Awards of Excellence or the Lafayette Commission on the Needs of Women, please call (337)291-8447. I was fortunate enough to be selected to receive the honor back in 2002, but only because someone took the time to fill out the forms and nominate me. If you know someone who deserves to be recognized as a leader and a good example to other women, nominate them today.
