How Much Do You Spend on Take-Out Food?

Americans love to eat out. many of us also love taking food home to eat. It seems that virtually every eatery in the US has a drive through, or some form of curbside service.

I prefer to eat at home.

A recent survey by CouponCodes4u found the average American spends $900 a year ordering take-out. Nine percent say they order food daily. Thirty-eight percent order take-out once a week, and forty-five percent order out every two weeks.
Fifty-seven percent say they prefer take-out to a home-cooked meal. Seventy-two percent of those report being overweight.
Twenty-three percent of survey respondents said they don’t know how to cook. Twenty-three percent also said they have no interest in cooking. I love to cook. I find it relaxing, and I know what I'm getting.
