It seems every time I watch the news, they're reporting on the Bayou State's economic woes. Budgets shortfalls, and cutbacks are seemingly reported daily. How do we stack up against the other 49 states & the District of Columbia? Not very well. According to a survey from WalletHub, Louisiana has the nation's worst economy. We rank 49th in economic activity, 47th, in economic health, and 50th in "innovation potential." Those, and other factors, place us dead last. That being said, I've lived in Louisiana, New York, and Colorado. I'm staying here.
