Hitting The Road This Summer? Don’t Get Stranded

AAA says they expect assist nearly 8 million motorists this summer. Nearly 3 million will have flat tires, or dead batteries.

Here are a few tips to help reduce the risk of trouble when you travel by car.  Check all FIVE tires.  If you have a flat in the middle of nowhere, an unserviceable spare won't solve your problem. AAA estimates they will assist 1.6 million drivers with battery issues, replacing nearly a half million on the roadside. Check the date on your battery. Inspect & clean the terminals thoroughly, disconnecting them to make sure you don't miss any hidden corrosion.  Make sure your fluid levels are full and check for signs of leakage. Replace your wiper blades.  Remember, all these things are cheaper and less inconvenient before you leave home.
