For those of you who caught the James Franco-Bryan Cranston comedy Why Him? back in December, you're aware that KISS play a key role in the film, serving as the favorite band of Ned and Barb Fleming (Cranston, Megan Mullally). Their cameo came at a pivotal point in the film, as the no filter Internet billionaire Laird (Franco) is attempting to win over his potential future father- and mother-in-law with the over-the-top gesture. But not all of what KISS shot for the movie made the film, and a "lost" scene has now surfaced.

In the clip seen above, Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley meet with Laird and his girlfriend (Zoey Deutch) outside the Fleming home, and during the discussion, Laird potentially discovers something about his roots from the KISS pair. Watch the hilarious outtake in the player above.

For Stanley, aside from an appearance in the KISS-related film Detroit Rock City, this is his only other major film credit, though he has tallied acting credits in other projects. Simmons, meanwhile, has a more extensive history on the big screen, even starring as the big bad in the Tom Selleck film Runaway. He's also appeared in such films as The New Guy, Be Cool, Trick or Treat and in an assortment of TV shows including such current series as Angie Tribeca and Scorpion.

Back in 2015, Simmons inked a deal with WWE Studios that would turn some of his focus toward producing horror films. “The horror genre continues to fascinate me as it proves to be endlessly thrilling and engaging for audiences," stated Simmons at the time.
