A number of teams from the Acadiana area are in action tonight, in the regional round of the LHSAA football playoffs.

In class 5A, 11th-seeded Acadiana travels to New Orleans, to take on Archbishop Rummel, while 7th-seeded Carencro plays host to 10th-seeded Ouachita Parish.

Three teams from the area are still alive in the 4A bracket, with 2nd-seeded St. Thomas More on the road to take on 18th-seeded Franklin Parish, 4th-seeded Breaux Bridge hosting 13th-seeded Salmon, and 6th-seeded Teurlings Catholic hosting 11th-seeded O.P. Walker.

In class 3A, 6th-seeded Notre Dame will be hosting 11th-seeded Parkview Baptist, while 8th-seeded Eunice hosts 9th-seeded Jennings, and 26th-seeded Rayne hosts 10th-seeded Bossier.

Moving to class 2A, 4th-seeded Catholic-New Iberia will play host to 13th-seeded Welsh, with 10th-seeded Loreauville on the road to take on 7th-seeded Episcopal, while 17th-seeded Ville Platte will entertain top-seeded John Curtis.

Finally, in the class 1A bracket, 2nd-seeded Vermilion Catholic will host 15th-seeded St. Edmund, with 9th-seeded Central Catholic on the road to meet 8th-seeded Elton, and 10th-seeded Westminster traveling to 7th-seeded Kentwood.
