Heymann Center Shelter Will Close Friday

One part of a long journey will end for some flood victims on Friday.

KATC reports that flood victims who have been staying at the Heymann Center are now being moved to new locations.

Lafayette city officials and disaster assistance teams expect to complete the process by Friday, when the Heymann Center shelter will be closed.

The Red Cross, FEMA, and other relief groups will work to help shelter residents return to their homes or find temporary housing until their homes are fixed.
