Here We Go Again! Benson Heirs File Appeal

Last week civil court judge Kern Reese ruled New Orleans Saints & Pelicans owner Tom Benson is competent to manage his own affairs. It was the opinion of many, that was the equivalent of a Hail Mary being batted down at the end of the game. Nola.com reports, the fight isn't over. Mr. Benson's estranged heirs have filed an appeal, contending the 87 year old patriarch should be compelled to take the stand. Their attorney released a statement on Wednesday, claiming Benson's refusal to testify "further evidences Tom Benson's diminished capacity and serves to suppress the truth." Control of 2 billion dollars worth of business holdings is at stake. There's only one certainty at this point. Some attorneys are going to make a lot of money.
