Happy National Waffle Day!

Ah, waffles! Who doesn't love 'em?! Today (August 24th) is National Waffle Day. How appropriate, with the weekend upon us! You can do an infinite number of things with waffles, dress them up with blueberries, chocolate chips, whipped cream, and the list goes on. I grew up eating them with butter, and REAL maple syrup. Here in South Louisiana, you're more likely to find folks enjoying waffles with Steen's cane syrup. Ever wonder who are the contry's biggest waffle lovers? Southern women! National Today reports, waffles are most popular in the south, followed by the midwest. Southern ladies over 65 are the nation's biggest waffle lovers. If that's not you, it's still OK to love waffles.
