Today (Oct. 24th) is National Bologna Day! I'll bet you loved bologna sandwiches when you were a kid. I still do! In recent years, I usually consume turkey bologna because of its lower fat content. When I was a kid, we used to pan fry bologna & serve it between two slices of toast. Man, that was good eatin'! I spent my formative years in Lewis County, New York. It's a rural area closer to Montreal than NYC. Croghan, NY a small town in the northern part of the county, is home to a rare, tasty brand of bologna. It's called, oddly enough, Croghan Bologna. It's made ONLY in Croghan, NY. The recipe is secret. The stuff ain't cheap, but people happily pay the price! Whatever your favorite, enjoy some bologna today!
