April 19 is 'High Five' Day. But why do we do it and when did we start? And is there anything worse than having to say "Don't leave me hanging!" Here's some history and some flagrant 'Fails!' The 'High Five' probably originated in American sports. Two stories stand out as likely firsts, according to Wikipedia. One involves a couple of Los Angeles Dodgers in 1977, the other, two University of Louisville basketball players in 1978. But it seems like we've been celebrating with it forever! Will the 'High Five' always be the consummate gesture of celebration or has it outlived its usefulness?
