GM Recalls 2014 Chevy Malibu for Brake Problem
140,000 Chevy Malibu sedans are being recalled by General Motors because of a possible brake problem. GM says 2014 Malibus with a 2.5 liter gas engine and an automatic stop/start option could become disabled.
“The affected vehicles may experience a complete loss of brake vacuum assist, disabling the hydraulic boost assist. As such, these vehicles do not comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 135, “Light Vehicle Brake Systems.”
Chevy dealers will be handling the repair of the electronic brake control module software.
