George Strait To Make Final Louisiana Appearance At Bayou Country Superfest

Bayou Country Superfest has announced that George Strait, the King of Country Music, will headline the 2014 Bayou Country Superfest as part of the final leg of The Cowboy Rides Away Tour. Superfest celebrates its 5th anniversay in 2014, and the event will expand to 3 days,  Friday, May 23 – Sunday, May 25, 2014. instead of the traditional Saturday and Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend.

George Strait will perform on Friday, May 23rd. It will be Strait’s only announced festival appearance on the farewell tour.

The country music legend has sold more than 70 million albums. He has 13 multi-platinum, 33 platinum, and 38 gold albums to his credit. Strait has hit #1 60 times. That's more than any musician in history.

Festival producer/ director Quint Davis said, "We are honored that George Strait, the King of Country Music, has chosen the 5th Annual Bayou Country Superfest, in LSU Tiger Stadium, Baton Rouge, for his final performance in Louisiana; and one of the last dates on his final tour,”

The complete music lineup and ticket information for the 2014 Bayou Country Superfest will be released on October 29.
