George Porter, Jr. and Runnin' Pardners take the stage at the Lafayette Horse Farm this Wednesday. George was a founding member of the Meters. Over the years, he's performed and recorded with a wide range of artists, including Jon Cleary, Dr. John, Paul McCartney, Jimmy Buffett, and Warren Haynes. George is widely recognized as New Orleans' premiere bass player. You're welcome to bring a chair, but you probably won't spend much time sitting down. Admission is free. All ages are welcome.
