The General Mills company is recalling 1.8 million boxes of Cheerios and Honey Nut Cheerios because of possible wheat contamination.

The company says that wheat flour was unintentionally added to the gluten-free system at one of its facilities, rendering the product non-gluten-free.

General Mills says that this could cause serious reactions for those individuals with gluten (wheat) allergies or celiac disease.

To find out if your box of Cheerios or Honey Nut Cheerios is being recalled, compare your "Better If Used By" date/code to the list provided on the General Mills Cheerios website.
