Northside High Mock Trial Team Headed to Yale, Fundraiser Tonight

The Academy of Legal Studies at Northside High invites the Acadiana community to participate in a fundraiser today, July 13, at the Buffalo Wild Wings at 2804 NE Evangeline Thruway.

Twenty percent of all purchases will be donated to the The Academy for Legal Studies at NHS, designed for students interested in pursuing careers in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Public Administration, and Law.

Academy students participate in cooperative, project-based, and problem-based learning and have access to local professionals in the legal field including attorneys, judges, politicians and legal assistants. Students at the Academy learn about law in practical ways relevant to their experiences.

The NHS Mock Trial team will travel to Yale on Sept 30th to compete in a high school mock trial competition on the weekend of October 1 - 2. Students pay $200 to defray travel, meal, and hotel costs. Today's fundraiser will help to pay for meals and incidentals.
