Fun Things to Do This Weekend Around Lafayette – October 5 -7, 2012

It's Homecoming for UL and that means a parade and a football game, of course, but there are lots more things to do this weekend around Lafayette, too! Here are some of our picks:

The lunchtime Healing House Jambalaya Cookoff will give you the chance to sample over 25 different recipes on Friday, October 5.

5th Avenue's playing Downtown Alive Friday evening.

Saturday is Homecoming for UL. The parade's at 10 AM. The band onstage for tailgating will be the Lafayette Bayou Boys. The music and dancing start at 1 PM., then the game, with the Ragin' Cajuns taking on the Green Wave of Tulane, kicks off at 4 PM with the gates opening at 2:30 PM.

Sunday afternoon is the Pink Ribbon Jam at Blue Moon Saloon.  Funds raised help provide free mammograms and transportation fees for those going through treatment.
