Snuggled between Morgan City and New Iberia, Franklin, Louisiana is small town filled with majestic oaks, great food, a profound culture and a people with hearts of gold.

I was born in Franklin in 1963 and I bet if we looked back at pictures from that era, and those from today, there wouldn't be that great a difference.  Every time I go home, as I did this past weekend, I think to myself, this is a place time forgot...but in a good way.

From the beautiful antebellum homes along the bayou Teche to the iconic lamp posts down main (one taken down by my Grandfather back in the 60s after he'd had a few too many) one visit to Franklin and her images will be burned into your memory.

I very proud to be from an area rich in family, love of the land, and good times.  I'd like to share a video with you that I found on Youtube.  Presenting...Franklin, LA!
