Twenty Years ago, Jason Schwartz was a 13 year old with dreams of playing in the NFL. Those dreams were dashed by a diagnosis of lymphoblastic leukemia. Jason suddenly found himself on a plane to Memphis. He spent the next two years in and out of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Jason says the experience changed his life path. He's now a doctor of oncology-hematology. Dr. Schwartz says his experiences at St. Jude led him to make this career choice.

"I've strived through my education and training career to really get back to St. Jude and to sort of give back to what St. Jude has allowed me to do. Coming back as a doctor, it was a dream come true." Dr. Jason Schwartz.

Today.com reports, he's met someone whose experiences parallel his own, 13 year old 13-year-old Andrew Woodruff.
