Former Saints linebacker Scott Ross was found dead in the parking lot of a Lafayette church on Monday. The Times Picayune reports, details are sketchy at this time. Ross played his collegiate football at USC, earning a reputation for tough, physical play. The  Saints drafted Ross in the 11th round of the 1991 NFL draft. Ross appeared in 4 games for the Black and Gold. He was among the more than 4,500 players who filed suit against the NFL for head injuries sustained while playing in the league. The suit claimed Ross suffered from "severe memory loss, and cognitive dementia," The cause of Ross' death is not known at this time.
