A former Texas prosecutor and judge is going to jail for withholding evidence that might have exonerated an innocent man. The Huffington Post reports, Ken Anderson was trying the case of Michael Morton, who was accused of killing his wife. Anderson suppressed evidence, including an eyewitness statement. Morton was convicted, and spent 25 years in prison, while Anderson had a successful career, later becoming a judge. Anderson has resigned from the bench, and is no longer licensed to practice law. He will serve 10 days in jail, and must perform 50 hours of community service.
