Former Fleetwood Mac Guitarist Bob Welch Dead

Bob Welch committed suicide at his home in Nashville yesterday. Welch played with Fleetwood Mac from 1971- 1975. When he left the band, Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks joined and the band went on to its greatest success. Welch went on to have moderate success with 'Sentimental Lady' and 'Ebony Eyes.' The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that he had spinal surgery and told his wife that he did not want her to have to care for an invalid.
