Renee' posted a video on Facebook titled "Forever In My Heart", and it's about a dog's final minutes.

Many of us are pet owners; some are more enamored with our pets than others.  Some people get tired of seeing pics of our pets on Facebook, while others seek them out.

Regardless of what kind of pet owner you are, there is one thing that you owe to your pet: the willingness to make the right decision when the end is near.

One of the responsibilities of pet ownership is making certain that your pet is taken care of, from proper feeding and housing to proper, regular veterinarian care, which includes the open, frank discussions about euthanasia.

No pet owner should ever want to hurt their pet, and every pet owner should take the proper steps to ensure that their pet is safe.  Some people might think that euthanasia is cruel ("I mean, come on, you are KILLING your pet! How could you do that??" was the response from one woman I was discussing this with).  I think that allowing your pet to continue suffering when there is no chance of recovery is cruel and selfish.

Please, have that conversation with your vet.  It's won't be easy, but being prepared is the first step in ensuring that you will be able to provide the proper care for your pet.
