Huffington Post just did a story on foods that help you to focus.  I don't know about you, but with my busy lifestyle, sometimes it's difficult to stay focused.  Especially in the afternoon, after waking up so early to do the morning show.  There are foods that will help.

Eat whole grains.  They contain carbs but are the good kind.  They'll give you just enough of a boost to get you through your day and in addition keep your mind focused.

Leafy greens are also a great way to stay on track.  Two servings of leafy greens like spinach or Kale per day will give you the mental focus of someone 5 years younger.

Chew gum.  Studies have shown that if two people do the same job, the one who chews gum will stay more mentally focused.  Not sure why, but it could have something to with your mind having to stay alert to do the chewing.

And lastly, coffee, which surely comes at no surprise.  Coffee in moderation will to the trick.  Too much however is bad news and will make you not able to concentrate.  Surprising, the research showed that people who drank decaf reported being much more alert.  Could it all just be in our minds?
